
M. Pia Rogines Velo Sardi, MD, PhD

M. Pia Rogines Velo Sardi MD, PhD received her medical degree from the School of Medicine, University of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Dr. Rogines Velo Sardi started her research and teaching career during medical school at the Pharmacology Department, University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. She won the Triennial Award “Prof. María Amelia Enero” from the Academy of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, Argentina, for outstanding research in pharmacology. Dr. Rogines Velo Sardi was supported through her doctoral training by the Secretary of Science and Technology, University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her thesis focused on the pharmacology of serotonin receptors. She trained as a postdoctoral fellow at the Genetics Department, Children’s Hospital Boston, where she was awarded with the Pediatric Ophthalmology Research Grant from the Knights Templar Eye Foundation. Her research was centered in Developmental Neuroscience. Dr. Rogines Velo Sardi has been an author on a number of peer-reviewed journal publications, abstracts and poster presentations.
Dr. Rogines Velo Sardi joined the Center for Women’s Mental Health as a research fellow and is working in clinical research.
