My doctor at that time said if we weigh our options, being less anxious outweighed the risk of the drug. Can someone tell me if this drug is ok to take through my pregnancy or should I look into switching medications? Thank you. This seems like a huge omission to me. Also the small sample size (n=371) concerns me. Can one really use the title, "Panic Disorder Increases the Risk of Adverse Birth Outcomes" on such a small sample? Titles like this get picked up my mainstream media and result in the general public not fully understanding the research methods. I do think this study presents interesting findings and I hope additional research is done to further explore this issue to help inform and improve medical care for women with panic disorders.
